Il roller derby è uno sport di contatto su pattini a rotelle quad, in cui due squadre di pattinatori si affrontano su di una pista ellittica (track), in una gara di velocità, tecnica e strategia. Questo sport nasce negli Stati Uniti come sport prevalentemnte femminile e da lì si diffonde in tutto il mondo, fino ad arrivare in Italia nel 2012.
Quest'anno l'Italia prenderà parte per la seconda volta, ai mondiali che si terranno a Manchester dal 1 al 4 febbraio.
Il team Italy è formato unicamente da atlete non professioniste che, nella vita di tutti i giorni, sono insegnanti, ingegneri, studentesse, artigiane e si autofinanziano praticamente tutte le spese.
E' per questo che con una piccola offerta potrete aiutarci a coprire le spese vive della trasferta e permetterci di rappresentare al meglio la nostra nazione.

Roller Derby is a contact sport on quad skates, where two teams of skaters take to an oval track to battle it out in a game of speed, skills and strategy. The sport is born in the USA as a predominantly women's sport and from there it dissipated into the world, arriving in Italy in 2012.
This year, Italy will take part, for the second time, in the Roller Derby World Cup, held in Manchester from February 1-4, 2018.
Team Italy is made up solely of non-professional athletes who, in everyday life, are teachers, engineers, students and professionals who fund all the expenses themselves.
This is why, with a small donation, you can help us cover some of the transfer costs and help us to best represent our country.
