HELP DEBBIE FIGHT CANCER!

First, let us introduce ourselves. We are family and friends to a wonderful person who desperately needs your help. You may never have heard of her, she is a dedicated mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Her name is DEBBIE DELORENZO-GEARY. If you have been blessed to make Debbie's acquaintance, you know what a selfless, hardworking, beautiful woman she is who strives to make everyone's life she touches so special.
Debbie has faced many trials and tribulations in her life, always with a smile and a great outlook. She is a Christian woman who dearly loves her mom, sisters, daughters and son and will go to great depths to provide a loving home for them. She is also a true friend who has helped us through our own tough times and always greets us with a smile and a huge hug. Debbie is one in a million.
Over the last several years Debbie has had some major health issues and, with prayer and God's blessings, she has withstood and survived these sicknesses. Last month Debbie was, again brought down with a new obstacle, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. Debbie is a victim of Environmental Cancer that took the life of her younger brother, Johnny, when he was 13 and her two sisters are cancer survivors.
Debbie is a proud woman, yet there are times when life hands you difficulties that, without assistance, the burdens become too great. Debbie is a single mother who lives in an aging home that needs major repairs. Her immediate need includes a new roof and the remaining balance owed on her new boiler (the old one was over 55 years old and stopped working this Summer), which totals close to $8,000.00. Plus, she now faces major medical bills in trying to fight this horrible diagnosis. The stress she faces with all of these setbacks zaps her much needed strength to fight this disease.
She is a longtime resident of Salem and, before that, her childhood was spent in the Highlands of Danvers. Debbie has worked for Salem attorneys for over 35 years and has been involved in many organizations in Salem and Danvers over the years.
Due to the unfairness of the way Massachusetts is regarding help, she has currently been DENIED everything she has applied for that she desperately needs-food stamps, social security, fuel assistance, etc. She hasnt recieved pay for anything since December and is constantly stressed and struggling due to this.
Its extremely unfair that the ones who need it most and the ones who have worked their entire lives and so selflessly given to others, has to go through this.
When we heard the news we thought "what can we do to ease her stress?" Our answer is to run an event to help raise funds for Debbie's care, help her pay her bills that havent ended and for the much needed and urgent repairs needed for her home while she continues to fight this disease. The constant bills from her home that come in with no income recieved are causing an enormous strain to her wellbeing.
Debbie deserves our help.
Debbie has always thought of everyone before herself and is the most giving and thoughtful person you'll ever meet. She radiates love onto everyone shes ever known or come across. This is our way of giving back to her. We ask that you give thoughtful consideration to our request.
