Dan Cimmino has always put his best foot forward to make the person across from him smile. His sense of humor, his willingness to dance at any given moment, and his quick wit make Dan a very fun person to be around.

Unfortunately in July of 2016, Dan had to be taken to the emergency room with immense pain in his abdominal area. Doctors quickly rushed him into surgery where it was discovered his small intestine had proliferated and 8 inches of the intestine had to be removed. Soon after Dan was officially diagnosed with Stage IV small bowel cancer that had metastasized to his liver. Given his age and location of the cancer, his case is very rare making it all the more difficult to treat.

After 7+ months of chemotherapy, Dan's oncologist recently informed him that chemo was no longer a viable option. His treatments had a variety of positive and negative results, but bloodwork and a CT scan from March 1st showed the tumor markers are now at an all time high and his liver is in its worst shape since his diagnosis.

During his experience with treatment, Dan has learned to be even more grateful for the little things. Dan says adversity creates one's greatest potential for character as he has embraced his fight against cancer with an open mind full of optimism and always with a smile.

The support from family and friends has been tremendous and we know many of you are desperate to help in any way. Through this GoFundMe account, you can show your support for Dan as he asks for continued prayers on his behalf.

Thank you in advance! #TeamDan
