Bruce's Road To Recovery

Donation protected
Bruce Camp is one of the most selfless and kind hearted men that I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know.  He is a loving husband and father to 3 beautiful kids.  Bruce has suffered a very serious brain injury and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. To get a better understanding of what we are asking you to donate for, I am going to first tell you a little about Bruce's condition and then tell you a bit more about Bruce as a person and the amazing heart that he has.

What happened:
Bruce Camp was admitted to the hospital with a brain aneurysm which caused major bleeding in his brain for several hours.  With the amount of bleeding that occured in his brain, the doctor's prepared Bruce's family for the liklihood that he would not make it through the night.  However, being the fighter that he is, he pushed through and later underwent brain surgery to deal with the aneurysm and bleeding in his brain.  Typically, with aneurysm patients, their cognitive abilities are severely decreased and sometimes even disappear completely.  But Bruce surprised us all coming out of surgery with a prognosis that is hopeful. He still has a long journey to full recovery and to getting back to his energetic and hilarious self, but everyone is optimistic that he can overcome this.  Bruce is currently in the ICU and will remain there for at least 4 more weeks. Right now, the doctor's are still draining blood from the brain, monitoring Bruce, and waiting for his cognitive abilities to improve.  He is having scans done every day to watch his brain and will eventually start therapy when he is ready.

About Bruce:
Although Bruce is not family by blood, I have had the honor of getting to know Bruce as if he were family.  And let me tell you, it has been one of the greatest pleasures in my life.  Bruce is the most incredible father and has the most remarkable children.  The character of his kids and the bond within his family is a true reflection of his heart, dedication, and love to his family.  He has shaped and molded his family into a family unlike any other.  Bruce is loved and admired by so many.  The amount of people that came to visit Bruce in the hospital is a true testament to how many lives he has touched.  Bruce is hard working, caring, and so so funny! He never fails to make people laugh and light up a room.  We would so greatly appreciate your help in getting Bruce back to his happy self.

What we need:
Bruce will be staying in the ICU for a minimum of 4 weeks.  His journey here to the ICU included being airlifted into the hospital followed by his brain surgery. Now as he remains in the ICU, he will start his physical and occupational therapy which could last up to a couple years. With how serious Bruce's condition is, finances are the last thing the family should worry about.  Bruce's health comes first and we are trying to get him back home to be with his family as soon as possible.  The goal of $100,000 accounts for all medical and therapy costs. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
