In May 2011 Scott Bell was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)..........in June 2011, Scott, his family and his friends set up a fund in order to raise awareness of MND, and raise funds to help fight this horrendous disease.
Sadly on the 6th October 2013, Scott lost his heroic effort fighting MND.
To date the ScottBellFund has raised over £127,000 in an effort to support the Motor Neurone Disease Aasociation, and also to help support local suffers of MND.
Each year the 'Belveccios' set aside a series of challenges in order to raise much needed funds. This year is no exception. The challenges are:-
The Blaydon Race, Friday 9th June - Newcastle
The popular Blaydon Race is a famous one in the North East, a 5.6 mile race from Newcastle to Blaydon. The first time we will have had runners for the fund taking part!
This challenge has been accepted by: Alan Irvine, Julie Armstrong, Paul Spedding and Kathryn Williams.
Tough Mudder, Sunday 30th July - Skipton, Yorkshire.
Regarded as 'the toughest obstacle course on the planet' this is a Belveccios favourite.

Mini Great North Run, 9th September - Newcastle
Mini team belveccio are back! They did amazingly well last year are ready to show us all how it's done again.
This challenge has been accepted by:- Elliot Bell, Hayden Spedding, Thomas Irvine, Jacob Irvine, Eleanor Williams, Evan O'Neill and Joseph O'Neill.
Great North Run, 10th September - Newcastle
The world's biggest half marathon will take Team Belveccio and the rest of the 60000 participants on a 13.1 mile journey from the centre of Newcastle to the coast in South Shields. A big favourite for Team Belveccio!
This challenge has been accepted by:- Brigitte Bell (First timer!), Kathryn Williams, Louise Bell, Kirstie O'Neill, Stephen O'Neill (first timer!) and Darren Hill.
Morpeth to Newcastle Marathon, 29th October - Morpeth
We had a big team take part in this event last year and we're pleased to see that it's back again! A local race that sees the 26.2 miles cover Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle.
This challenge has been accepted by:- Dale Crawford (first timer!) and Louise Bell
