Social Worker Fights For Life
Donation protected
Amy Hardy, 41 years young, is not "just another person with cancer." Amy is a dedicated and driven, social worker, full time mother of 2 young children, ages 6 and 3, wife, and daughter. She is fighting for her life against her diagnosis of Primary Amyloidosis. This is a type of blood cancer that has been discovered in her lymph nodes and bone marrow. Amy's path to treatment will include receiving chemo treatments locally for two months and then having to relocate temporarily to Durham, NC. She will be residing within minutes of Duke Medical Center, where she will receive daily medical attention, an aggressive chemo treatment and undergo an autologous stem cell transplant. Amy has spent many years serving the community as a part of hospice care, foster care, child protection and helping families in need. Your generosity will aid in covering insurance deductibles, monthly bills and other costs Amy will incur. Amy will be apart from her children, husband, parents, friends and support network for over a month while she undergoes the autologous stem cell transplant. We are asking your help to assist Amy and her family.
Thank you in advance!
