Addy's Fight Against ROHHAD
Addison is the first known case of ROHHAD* in Vermont. ROHHAD has made it difficult for Addy to maintain normal organ and body functions. She has been in the Vermont Children's Hospital PICU since February 2014.
Addy's family is preparing for the modifications necessary in order to make their home suitable for her new medical needs.
Diagnosed in February 2014, and has since undergone several procedures including: tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, tracheotomy, and surgery to biopsy a small mass found in her lower back.
After the most recent surgery, Addy's body got very sick and she needed to begin constant dialysis to keep her body functioning.
Addy is currently working towards recovery and fighting hard to survive.
