Team Vin

Hi Friends!  As many of you may or may not already know on Saturday, August 4, 2018 Vincent Zaunbrecher was involved in an accident severely injuring his spinal cord. Vin was rushed to Acadia General Hospital in Crowley and from there was air medded to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. Vin spent roughly two weeks at Lourdes in ICU where he battled many obstacles, including a really bad case of pneumonia. This led him to have a Tracheostomy.

On August 20th he graduated from ICU, and on August 21st he was transported to TIRR Memorial Hospital in Houston, Tx. He is there now getting the necessary therapy and on the road to recovery. Although this will be a a very long road we are all prepared to walk along side of him every step of the way.

As we all know with an accident like this it takes a tole on many not just the patient. Vin’s family and friends have been traveling back and forth weekly taking turns caring for him. Along with this care comes lots of different financial burdens such as medical bills, long term care options, medical equipment, hotel stays, and much more.

if you had the chance to meet Vin you know he would give the shirt off of his back for anyone! This is the true meaning of “you just never know what can happen in the blink of an eye”. If you feel in your heart to help the family out in any way please do so. I can speak for the entire family when I say we truly appreciate everything! All the calls, text, prayers, and kind words! Please continue to shower us with love, light, and prayers!!
