In 1996 I launched Manifest with the help of my husband, and IT director, Tim. We had a vision of offering an electronic shareholder voting and governance research solution which would make it easy for investors to make their voice heard at shareholder meetings.
Today, Team Manifest is a fantastic group of 35 people who help shareholders understand what's going on inside the companies they invest in.
Every year our team of expert data scientists plough through thousands of annual reports to dig out the key facts about a whole range of issues that are deeply buried. They help make sense of what company boards are doing about things like CEO pay , employee pay ratios , board diversity, sustainability, and much more.
What we do makes a real difference. You can find our work in the FT , BBC , The Guardian , all over the world.
There is, however, more to be done to realise our vision of sustainable and responsible capitalism. And you can help us get there.
Manifest is now up for sale . As founders we felt that this was the only way to secure Manifest's future and ensure its long-term viability. We are now putting together a plan to buy back the business and re-boot with an even sharper focus on long-term, sustainable governance.
Over the next 5 days we will will be putting together our proposal to keep Manifest safely in British hands. A donation, whether its £1.00, £100 or £1,000 will support the team while we do that. Very importantly:
every penny you donate will be going directly to the talented staff of Manifest, not to lawyers or accountants.
