Team Keck Support Fund

Ok my friends, we've got something to share with you. It's about our boy Jonathon Keck and this is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. For those of you I have not met, my name is JoAnna Burks and I am a long-time friend of Mr. Keck. In an amazing twist of fate I am also a childhood friend to his beautiful wife Carla. Together, we want to share some news but we have a special request - please take a deep breath and let this news digest and then follow our lead, please.

The same loving energy in which we bring you this share is the same energy which we hope you can can adopt and move forward with us. We are opening the floodgates for faith, love, positivity, prayer and support as we let you know that Jon has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Before we go any further I want to reiterate the gameplan - We will fight this disease from the inside out, mentally, physically and emotionally literally using every fiber of our being. We will be using everything except negative energy.

So who's with me? This is a rally call to raise our boy up and support him and his family with our love and energy as the walk together through what has already proven to be a treacherous journey. His body is challenging him more and more him every day.

Here is a little about what we do know:
Several week ago Jon began to experience pain and discomfort in his calves that we believed to be a simple case of plantar fasciaitis. Being in tune with his body and familiar with plantar Jon bought inserts, saw a doctor and followed the normal coarse of action. After nearly two weeks Jon ended up in the emergency room - the plantar symptoms were actually blood clots in his legs that had now broken off and traveled to his lungs.

While doing a chest x-ray for the blood clot in the lung they accidentally caught a glimpse of a spot on his liver and they journey began. Although all tests of the liver had already comeback clear they decided to do a biopsy- that is when they came back with the pancreatic cancer.

To say the last few weeks have been overwhelming would be an understatement. Jon and Carla are 100% focused on using their energy to navigate these waters, which at this time means trying to stabilize his body, gather all the tests and decide on a treatment plan. They are already exhausted.

For Jon's friends, as you know Jon is a very private man, he doesn't share a ton on social media so you may have missed that our boy got married last year. Yes, he did. It is a love story of epic proportions. You could absolutely say they were guided to one another; brought together by love... and tragedy. Carla has already experienced the loss of a husband and brought 3 amazing children into Jon's life. This is all too profound. It's more than people should have to deal with. It is for that very reason that we are moving forward in FAITH. 100% Faith.

We can be angry or we can be supported and support each-other. We are choosing support and opening the doors for you to join us. FAITH OVER FEAR HERE.

We will share more as the answers come in but we have so much going for us already. Faith, possible clinical trial involving stem cells, and chemo starting as early as this week that will reduce the clotting that he is dealing with right now.

Rise up my friends.
Let's surround the Keck family with love.
