PLEASE HELP TEAM ICICLES SENIORS GET TO THE WORLD SYNCHRONIZED SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023!

Team Icicles Senior are a Synchronized Ice Skating team based at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham who compete at Senior level, considered the highest category within the sport. Icicles Senior formed in 2018 and won the British Championship Title in their first season. They have held this title ever since.

As British title holders and as a result of achieving the required scores on the international stage (and newly this year in Mozart Cup Challenger Series), they’ve qualified four times for the World Synchronized Skating Championships. This is where the best of the best from each country compete against one another.

In 2020, the championships was intended to be held in Lake Placid, New York. Sadly, due to the global pandemic, this event was cancelled leaving the team devastated.
When the team were selected by their governing body, British Ice Skating, to represent Team GB for the 4th year in a row, it came with extra pride that the 2023 World Championships is to be held in Lake Placid, NYC

Along with qualifying, the teams hard work meant that the skaters were accepted into the prestigious British Ice Skating Performance squad for this season. This covers all disciplines within Ice Skating, and only the most elite are eligible for inclusion in this squad.

The team consists of 19 skaters who receive no funding and pay for every aspect of their skating. This includes training, uniform, coach transport, hotels, flights, competition fees ...the list could go on. The skaters travel to Nottingham from as far away as Cardiff, Bournemouth, Manchester and Portsmouth to train every weekend. Their trip to USA is roughly going to cost £2,000 per skater, so for the whole team a total of £38,000. This is on top of their usual monthly training fees.

Which is why we’re politely asking for your help to donate anything you can, to assist the girls in achieving their USA journey.
Any amount would make the world of difference to these skaters and the team would be truly grateful.

Thank you so much for your support♥️
