Team Giovanni

Imagine your 6th grader coming home from school one day with a bad headache only to find out that he has a brain tumor larger than a golf ball.  After countless scans, tests, operations, and several biopsies, Giovanni Gallegos, a student at James McKee, was diagnosed with a very rare form of inoperable stage 3 brain cancer called Anaplastic Astrocytoma.

Giovanni is a very dedicated student and has a kind, genuine loving personality.  We have missed him very much as he continues to undergo various therapies including radiation, chemotherapy, and new clinical trials.  We hold Giovanni and his family in our hearts and minds as they struggle with these difficult realities.  For now we hope, wait, and wish for Giovanni’s return to James McKee.

Giovanni loves music his favorite group is 21 Pilots. He likes playing basketball. His favorite sports team is the 49ers. His favorite subjects are Math and Science. His favorite movie was Guardians of the Galaxy until his newest favorite was realeased, Black Panther. He plays video games, like Overwatch.  He loves cheese cake. He lives with his parents, grandparents and 3 siblings.
