Team Chip - Operation Mass Removal!

Donation protected
Some history: Mike and I rescued Chip from Downey Shelter about 3 1/2 years ago. He was found in an abandoned home and on the euth list and we were able to swoop in and get him on his last day to live. He has become MORE than family to us over the last 3 1/2 years... Mike moved out to Johnson Valley about 2 1/2 years ago because Orange County Animal Control was always on us about all our dogs.  We had about 6 dogs, including Chip. Sometimes less depending on if a rescue needed his help to foster a dog in need sometimes. Long story short, Mike sold everything moved out of OC and bought land in JV and built a big place to have space for animal rescue efforts. I stayed in OC because its tough to find a good veterinary hospital to work for out there.. So I drive out to JV every weekend to be with all our rescue babies, especially my CHIP! And Mike has a job he works in Yucca Valley where he can be home by noon-ish and do all the rescue things the rest of the day... It just works well... Now here is our BIG problem--> We noticed  our baby Chip was not feeling well the past 2 weeks ... Tummy issues  (little diarrhea on and off, energy a little low, peeing a lot more and the BIG RED FLAG was during a recent tummy rub he flinched like it was painful)...Mike called me early one morning last week about 5 a.m. and said we need to get him seen..so we took him to the vet hospital I work at in OC this past Saturday. We ended up doing x-rays and the doctor said there is something right here (pointing to his abdomen) that shouldn't be there. We then went to VMSG in San Juan Capistrano for a closer look (via ultrasound) and sure enough there is a huge mass connected to his spleen that needs to be removed ASAP before it hemorrhages! Other wise with the size of mass doctors give him 1 maybe 2 months to live..THIS TOTALLY DEVASTATED US!!... we cant eat right, sleep through the night or doing anything normal since Saturday ..Its just overwhelming!!  We only have about $3k we mustered up so far and will STOP AT NOTHING to save our baby Chip. .. We desperately  need at least another $5k so we can get this surgery done this week or just ASAP. Unfortunately this specialty hospital VMSG will only do surgery w/ payment in full.  SO ITS EVEN MORE DIFFICULT. Some people in the "rescue world" are  well off financially,  but most are not, and we are part of the "are not" group.  If our baby Chip was 9 or 10 years old we would not even put him through a surgery like this...  and opt for humane euthanasia once he starts to decline. But he's not!  Our baby is only 6 years old and we know he has some years of good living ahead of him!  He's such a lover and he loves all his brothers and sisters at home. We cant imagine life w/out our Chip and are praying that we can get some help. <3
