Team Brad Dorsey

As many of you know, Brad was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, Anaplastic Astrocytoma Stage 3 in 2015. Brad underwent radiation and chemotherapy treatment and had stable MRI follow ups until February 2019. A new spot was of concern to his medical team and he sought out additional consults at NIH, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Brad has been on chemo until October 2019 when the new tumor was not responding to chemo. Brad underwent a surgical biopsy in December at NIH and has Recurrent Anaplastic Astrocytoma Stage 3, which is progressing. He completed 2 weeks of radiation in Bethesda. Two of the tumors have responded to radiation, but one tumor has increased in size causing significant swelling in the frontal left lobe of his brain. Brad is not a candidate at this point for the clinical trial due to the swelling. Brad will undergo an awake craniotomy in an attempt to remove tumor tissue with the hopes of decreasing the swelling next week at NIH.
