Teagan's Junior National Meet

My name is Teagan Tonjum! I am a freshman at the University of Minnesota and am studying human physiology. I have a passion for olympic style weightlifting and recently set the high school Minnesota state weightlifting record in snatch, clean&jerk and overall total for the 81kg weight class. It didn't stop there. I was hungry for more and have been training harder than ever before. After the state meet my new goal was to qualify for a national level meet. Olympic style weightlifting is an extremely intense sport that essentially challenges every muscle within the human body. It is highly skill intensive as well as strength intensive. (Fun fact: the Olympic champion of this sport has actually earned the right to be titled the strongest man and or woman in the world). 

At my latest meet I finally qualified for the 2020 junior nationals in February of 2020. This will be my very first national level meet! This year it is being held right outside of San Francisco, California. As anyone from the middle of Minnesota can understand this is a long and expensive trip! Between the hotel, plane ticket, cost of the meet, etc.  I am asking for some financial help to make this trip possible. My love and passion for the sport is endless and don't want money to have to be a determining factor in making this meet a possibility for me. Anything at all helps! Thanks!
