Teaching Teens Leadership at EDHS

El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class 12 is raising money to expand the Hands for Hope Program to the youth at El Dorado High School and we need the support of our community to make it happen. This program is already successful at Oak Ridge, Ponderosa and Union Mine High Schools.
What makes Hands for Hope different than other programs... Youth explore social issues surrounding them, take action by choosing and designing service projects, then lead these projects from start to finish- everything from food and clothing drives to anti-bullying campaigns. Hands4Hope is driven by the interest and focus of youth involved. All projects serve those in a special needs category – homeless, low income, trafficked, bullied, military, victims of a natural disaster, etc.
At Hands4Hope, our mission is to inspire and empower youth in leadership and service. We do this by giving youth a platform to make their voices heard on issues affecting our community and provide them the opportunity to take action in their own way.
We need your help to raise $20,000 to offer this opportunity to our youth at El Dorado High School. This money will ensure the funds to begin a multi-year program.
