Make My Birthday Wish Come True!

Hi friends, family, and teamates,
As some of you know, 2018 was the biggest year of my life. I finally gave myself a chance and dropped everything to pursue my dreams to become an actress and Youtuber. But walking down this path hasn’t been easy, throwing everything aside in the name of faith, believing that God has a plan for my life despite my lack of experience and qualifications (though it may seem noble to say aloud), has been a challenging thing to live out day by day for the past year. There would be days where I would be stuck lying on my bedroom floor feeling depressed and defeated because I had no inspiration, or I felt discouraged, terrified of people not liking me, and crippled by my emptying savings account.
Anxiety ate me up...but the promise and encouragement of friends that God loves me and created me with a purpose for my life kept me going.
Which is why I'm sooo excited and blessed to share that "Marked," a short film that I was the female lead in, was selected to be shown in France at the Cannes Film Festival this coming May! I'm ecstatic about this news not just because of the accolades, but the invitation itself to attend feels like an affirmation that I'm on the right path. Getting accepted as an attendee makes it seem like all that effort to trust God in the face of really having nothing to offer, meant something--that it wasn't just me throwing my time and energy into a void but that God has been with me all along.

I also want to emphasize that I don't celebrate this opportunity alone, I recognize that this is something that we've all achieved together. I feel like many of you have played a significant role in supporting me throughout this journey ever since I made the big announcement of my life/career change in Feb 2018. Whether by watching my videos, treating me out to eat, sharing my videos with your friends, or leaving a kind note to encourage me. I know who you are, those of you who have been just as invested in my dreams as I have. And I appreciate it all so much because I wouldn’t have made it this far without your support.
Now, going back to the film festival, I’m so excited to attend. I look forward to networking with directors & actors, seeing premieres of films that have yet to hit the silver screen, and learning more about the film industry. I believe this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will help shape and grow me as both an actress and content creator. Who knows what doors will open and new friends I’ll meet from this experience!
But aside from all the cool things I’ll benefit from attending, I also want to share the financial burden that I’m facing in lieu of this opportunity. To be frank, the cost of attending is expensive (breakdown below).

Entrance fees + Housing + Phone Plan $3400
Airplane Ticket ~$800
Food + Transportation + Red Carpet Gown ~$800+
Total = ~$5000
