TDT Relief for Western North Carolina
Donation protected
“A catastrophe of biblical proportions.”
Western North Carolina has been completely devastated by Hurricane Helene. The severity is beyond anything we can comprehend. We have multiple groups and organizations on the ground and in the air helping various locations and counties that are in dire need of supplies, medicine and relief. North Carolina is our home. The mountains here are our second home and normally bring such peace and tranquility and are an escape to a simpler place and time. Now we need to be their peace & comfort and do everything we can to try and bring some relief to them. Ourselves and SERHANT. agents Levi Bennett, Joey Portnova, Chris Allen and Colleen Lawson have already made multiple runs with full trucks and trailers of water, food and supplies. We have connections to helicopters doing multiple supply drops and evacuations. But we need more help.
More deaths are likely. Communities still can’t be accessed. People are missing. Livelihoods are gone. Family businesses standing for generations wiped out. Babies ripped from mothers’ arms in flood waters. Roads demolished. Bridges unpassable. Schools shut down. Tourist towns leveled. People rescued from rooftops with only the clothes on their back. Choppers dropping items into wooded areas. Mules and horses being used to take supplies.
This isn’t a months-long recovery. This is years.
And remember, this isn’t just Asheville and Boone. It’s Swannanoa, Montreat, Chimney Rock, Linville, Candler, Lake Lure, Banner Elk, Spruce Pine, Marshville, Hendersonville, etc.
Smaller communities need larger attention.
We love you western North Carolina.
