Help Alex get top surgery

Hello!
my name is Alexander/ Xander, I am a 17 ( 18 in april) year old trans male, I live in  Tampa Florida.

I created this gofundme for the sole purpose of obtaining  top surgery, top surgery is something I've dreamed about since I came out as transgender in early November of 2017 when I was freshman in high school. While navigating the journey they call high school I was exploring my gender identity, it took me months and months until I stumbled upon some great friends and my schools GSA to learn what transgender really was and that I in fact was. When I first came out as trans to my family and peers it was troubling, it was hard trying to explain what it felt like to have gender dysphoria and how it made me feel the way it did. My mom was instantly accepting along with a few members of my family, overall everyone supported but just had a lot of questions and concerns. It took almost 3 years for everyone to comes to terms and understand, and to this day they still struggle.

Top surgery is one of my many goals in life, but the cost is hefty and I do not keep 14,000 laying around sadly, and it would take me years to save up. my goal would be to have top surgery before 20 that way I could live my life feeling my best self, my most confident self and most of all my truest self. Dr. Garramone is one of the top local surgeons in the area, with 15 years of service and thousands of patients with outstanding reviews I couldn't see a better option. The surgery itself cost around 11,000, not including anesthesia or other possible medical bills.

I have been on testosterone for almost 6 months, and have been in gender therapy for about 2 and a half years with a gender therapist who has diagnosed me with gender dysphoria, and has written me letters of recommendation for my testosterone and soon my top surgery. she has helped me learn to express my gender and to come to terms with my mental health and i haven't been happier.

I gained a discomfort for my chest at a young age, and always dressed in a very " masculine " way for as long as i can remember. I was always classified as a tomboy growing up and often was seen hanging with the boys and having the most fun when i was seen as one.  I remember one summer day when I was younger and we were at the pool with my cousins, and my mom said to me that I must wear a shirt because when out in public because I was a young lady but I vividly remember saying to her I was one of the boys and being distraught at the fact I was growing a chest and wasn't one of the boys after all.

I appreciate everything and anything that I get! thank you to everyone who sees this!

Please share! and if you can it would be greatly appreciated more then I could ever express to anyone.
