Help Tara with medical expenses

This past weekend we were in Havasu celebrating Memorial Day and my friend Tara Hurley was struck by a boat causing severe injuries. We were taken to the local emergency hospital by ambulance where she was told she had major tissue damage and broke her hip bone. She was then airlifted to a Vegas hospital for immediate surgery on her leg wound. She’s been hospitalized there since Saturday evening, not quite completely stable yet and doctors are still assessing the full extent of all her internal injuries. It seems she is fighting off an infection causing her red blood cell count to drop so she might need a blood transfusion. Her spirits are high and she is doing physical therapy to try to walk on her leg but we still do not know when she will be released from the hospital. This will be a very long healing, recovery process for her and she won’t be able to get back to work for a while. Unfortunately the boat driver was not insured, she does have medical insurance but they will only cover so much and rising medical expenses will be well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, out of pocket! This is just an initial estimate but expenses will exceed well above this.

Tara needs all the help, prayers, and love she can get right now. She’s a strong chick but no one deserves to deal with such a tragic accident on their own. Anything helps, even just a share! Thank you in advance and I will keep everyone posted on her recovery process.
