TBI and Concussion Fundraiser

Concussions and  Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are among some of the most difficult and debilitating neurological conditions to deal with. Many individuals who have such injuries often find it difficult to diagnose their condition, let alone find the proper information to treat it in a manner tailored to their specific symptoms and brain injury. 

While many people across all age groups suffer from concussions and TBIs there is a disproportionate amount of youth affected, whether it be from accidents or from sports injuries. After one sustains such an injury at such a developmental age it is important to quickly diagnose, confirm, and treat the brain injury to ensure healthy brain rehabilitation. 

There are many ways to help individuals who have sustained a TBI, like my partner, Rekha Iyer, and I are attempting to do through public policy:

However, in order to spread information about TBIs and treatments available, funds must be raised to help lobby and create systems of information distribution to help those suffering from TBIs.

On March 31st from 3-5 pm in the Drake Oakbrook Nagle Ballroom leading TBI treatment center CognitiveFX,  in conjunction with acclaimed author and TBI survivor Amy Zellmer, will be hosting a fundraiser to help TBI afflicted individuals and raise awareness for such injuries.
