Taylor's Trip To Pohnpei

Hey! First off, thanking you for taking the time to read this.  I spent six months last year as a high school teacher in Pohnpei and my experience there was unlike anything else.  I loved it.  While I had planned to go the whole year, I had to come back earlier for a heartbreaking reason.  My mom was diagnosed when I was 14 with brain cancer.  When I left for Pohnpei, she was doing great.  But six months into my time there, my parents called and told me that the doctors had recommended placing my mom on hospice.  They gave her three months to live.  I left Pohnpei immediately and got to spend two and a half months at home taking care of my mom, watching home videos, and having the best conversations.  I wouldn't change that time for anything but it hurt so much to leave Pohnpei unexpectedly. 
Ever since the minute I stepped onto the plane to leave I've wanted to go back, to spend time with my students again and experience the place that changed me and became a huge part of my life story.  For this upcoming spring break, March 2020, I have decided to go back.  The class I sponsored last year are seniors this year and I gotta get back  to see them before they head off into their adult lives.  Unfortunately, this beautiful island is rather expensive to travel to, so any gift you can bestow upon this rather poor college student is the biggest blessing and will help pay for my plane ticket.  I would also love your prayers.  I love you all!
