I have been providing first-class dance and theatre education to the young people of
Boca Raton for almost fifteen years. Working closely with several of the city’s
schools from grades K-12 and beyond, I have choreographed high school musicals,
competition performances and professional productions and hopefully provided
performers with a love and appreciation of the theatre arts that will stay with them
their whole lives. I have worked at schools, instructed privates in people’s homes
and even converted my garage to a dance room, but now it is time for the next step:
a school of my own.
I strongly believe in education, not just training as a pathway to success in
performance and in life. As a young performer, I learned to dance and enjoyed a successful professional career until sadly my passion began to take a toll on my
body. I was never taught how to look after my body, to listen to it and to ensure its
health and now the health, both physical and mental of my performers is the priority
of everything I do. I pride myself on not only instructing students how to execute
steps and routines, but also how to think for themselves, to understand their body
and mind and to learn about the fundamentals of artistry and performance. I teach them to be themselves and above else, to enjoy what they do!
With the kind donations I receive here, I intend to open a performing arts school in
Boca Raton. Specifically these funds will help secure the space we found and put a dance floor down. Not a dance school, a studio or a conservatory, a training facility for the performing arts. My vision is a space where the community can come to benefit from what I have to offer. I envision a place where acting, dancing and singing of all styles and disciplines can be learned and appreciated. Where everyone from the mother and
toddler to the retirees and the professional can find a class to interest and stimulate them. Where everyone from the beginner to the professional can come together in mutual love and appreciation of the arts and develop, practice and grow together.
