Taylor Hill's 25th Birthday Fundraiser - F&F

This past year has been a strange and unexpected year. Looking back on my last birthday, never would I have guessed the events that transpired not shortly after turning 24. A global pandemic, lockdowns, and uncertainty in all of our futures. It was a year of unease, and hardship for many. So in the spirit and honor of those that have struggled I am doing a charity fundraiser for my 25th birthday.
My goal is to raise $25,000 during the month of March for two amazing organizations near and dear to my heart, Freedom & Fashion is one of them (The Alexandria House is the other).
It is so important to unite and continue to spread hope, and that is why I am asking you to help in any way possible. No amount is too small, and if we all come together, I know we can make a huge difference.
Freedom & Fashion’s mission is to use the arts of fashion and beauty to empower youth and women overcoming sex trafficking, domestic violence, and other injustices. The program teaches and encourages these young women to dream big with their career goals and helps them think about a future full of opportunity and creativity. F&F provides educational and mentorship programs that go beyond fashion and beauty by exploring trade-driven industries while engaging in imperative conversations addressing self-image, vulnerability, leadership and character development.
An annual fashion show is held every Fall to celebrate the young designers creativity while raising awareness and funds. Unfortunately, due to Covid, these celebratory events have not happened in the last year.
Due to the pandemic so many women have been trapped in their home, forced to be in lockdown with their abuser with nowhere to go and no way to get out. Freedom and Fashion has had to wear many hats in the past year, where they are normally focused on teaching trades and skills, they have stepped in and are the ones rescuing young women from these horrific situations. Being able to provide for an organization that provides so much for these girls, is something I need to do. To have the ability to use my platform to bring awareness and a voice to this cause is something I will not take for granted.
Since the pandemic, there has been a 185% rise in human trafficking. Freedom and Fashion has expanded their focus across the nation to rescue and serve survivors.
