Tay's International Study

My name is Tay Ervin. I am 15 years old and I'm asking for your support to help me attend the Oxbridge Summer Study Abroad Program from July 8 through August 4th, 2018.
I was awarded a partial "Exceptional Merit Scholarship" to travel to England and study Architecture. In order for me to make my educational dream come true, I must raise funds to cover the remaining balance of the tuition, airfare, food and spend money over the course of the program.
I would like to start by thanking you in advance for taking the time to read my appeal for your financial support.
One day I hope to become an Architectural Engineer. I want to be apart of the solution of homelessness in America. I want to help the homeless by designing and building state of the art modular homes for homeless families. I believe that investing in myself is a form of self-love, and self-empowerment which also allows me to show kindness to others which is the essence of community engagement service.
I am an "A" student. I speak Mandarin. I have received numerous awards such as, the California Legislature Assembly Certificate of Recognition, Certificate of Achievement for Astra S.T.E.A.M., City Council City of Oakland, California Commendation, Certificate of Honor Board of Supervisors City and County of San Francisco, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Barbara Lee, Commendation from Board of Supervisors, County of Alameda, First Place Winner in the 2017 Madame C.J. Walker Awards Luncheon Positive Steps' Essay Contest, City of Oakland Certificate of Recognition, and the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.
I spend many weekends giving back by volunteering in the surrounding communities to help those who are in need by handing out blankets, food, water, working at local community health fairs. I also enjoy running track and playing volleyball.
Please help me reach my goal and any amount will be greatly appreciated!
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!
Sincerely,
Tay
