Taumyra's Celebration of Life

The life of my beautiful niece tragically ended on January 8th, 2018. It is with a heavy and broken heart that I write this. I have read and donated to many of these types of campaigns but never imagined that I would be creating and writing one for our baby.  Twenty one years ago on a beautiful June day, our family was blessed beyond measure. To know Myra was to love her. The joy and light she brought into our lives was beyond any and everything that even our most beautiful dreams could have ever simulated.  All the good and loveable things that a person could be, Myra was that and more.  Her sense of humor, sincere kindness, humility and captivating smile are just a few things that make this temporary parting so difficult to endure. Just as there are not enough words that sufficiently explain our deep love for Myra, there are also no words that could ever express the heartache our family now feels. Taumyra Judith Payes is the daughter of Kevin Payes and Fanda Payes (Begody), Granddaughter of Kee and Wanda Begody and Melvin and Faaagi Payes. In her short time with us, Myra loved many things and many people but above all, she adored and admired her parents. And if anything is true about Kevin and Fanda, it would be that their daughter is the love and joy of their life. They worked hard to build a life for and around their beautiful blessing and in return, Myra worked just as hard to make her parents proud. She made us all proud.  It is indeed sorrowful when children must lay their parents to rest but it is an unbearable tragedy when it is the other way around. It is hard enough to mourn and grieve the loss of your only child without dealing with the costs of arrangements that need to be made.  If you would like to show your support by donating, it would be most appreciated by all of us. So many people have shown their love and condolences and I can't say enough how grateful we are. We want to thank everyone for your continuous love and prayers.  We are grateful for the time we had with Myra and also for our Heavenly Father's love that we deeply feel even now, especially now. Above all, we are thankful for the knowledge that families are forever and that we will again be with our baby.  Her memorial services will be held on January 20th, 2018 at 9am.
