On the morning of November 28th, 23 year old Tashia woke up dizzy and with a loud ringing in her left ear. As the day progressed, the vertigo only became worse, and the ringing louder. As she has already lost a good portion of the vision in her left eye (a past infection), the balance issues have taken more of a toll on her than most.
After a few doctors visits and a various (failed) medications, doctors are still unsure of what is causing the sudden deafness and fear it may be something detrimental (tumors, strangled blood vessels, etc). Though chances of her getting her hearing back are growing increasingly slim, ignorance is not bliss. Tashia and her family would like to know what is causing these troubles and can only hope to do so with an MRI. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to find ways to cover this $3000 cost.
That's where this website comes in, and the blind faith in the kindness of strangers. For anyone who finds it in their heart to give to this campaign, all we can say is "thank you." But know that any thought, prayer, or donation means so much more than we can ever express.
For the foreseeable future, it seems Tashia will have both a good ear and bad ear, as well as a good eye and bad eye, and that's okay. But if we can determine what the culprit of the hearing loss is with this MRI, maybe it won't have to stay that way.
