On Sept. 26, 2017 20 month old Tanner Morrison went into a fairly routine surgery for a blocked tear duct in London Ont. The surgeons noticed something abnormal behind Tanner's eye. They discovered a rare form of cancer known as "Retinoblastoma" -a rare malignant tumor of the retina, affecting young children. Only 24 children in Canada are reported to have this cancer each year.
Tannner was then transferred to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto for further tests and is scheduled to start chemotherapy treatment Oct. 4, 2017. The chemotherapy will shrink the tumour enough to allow the surgeons to use laser and freezing surgeries to eliminate the tumour.
Tanner's parents Brandon and Sara will be making regular trips to Sick Kids Hospital for treatments over the next several months. They will have to take time off of work, arrange care for Tanner's siblings Hayden(8) and Jocelyn(5), hotel bills, some medical bills, gas, parking etc.
With Tanner's treatment starting on Oct. 4, 2017 your donations would be greatly appreciated to help the family focus on Tanner and his recovery.
