Tangled Up in Hue Employee Relief Fund

In the 11 years since we opened, Tangled Up in Hue has worked tirelessly to showcase and support the artistic and creative talents of local artists and makers.  Over that time, Tangled Up in Hue has proudly created jobs, supported artists, given back to local organizations, helped rejuvenate the downtown and added vibrance and beauty to the community.

But now, just like many of you, we are faced with a devastating and heartbreaking situation as we had to close our doors in an effort to combat the outbreak of the coronavirus.  We are quickly running out of funds to pay our beloved employees and artists, our rent, utilities and to provide for our families.

We have applied for countless grants, relief loans and emergency funding programs thru the government, the SBA and our financial institution, but so far, have been given no indication that we will receive assistance.  Frankly, we are beginning to question whether there really will be help available for our business, among countless others, when it is all said and done. 

Some of our patrons, family members, friends and artists have been asking how they can help.  After many sobering conversations, we have decided to set up this fundraiser to alleviate some of the financial hardship our employees and our business is experiencing during this difficult time. All funds given to this campaign will help us weather this storm, provide financial assistance to our amazing staff, and help us reach our goal: keep Tangled Up in Hue an active part of Downtown Eau Claire for another 11 years.

Even once this passes, we are unsure of what the market will look like, but if the past decade is any indication, we know that Eau Claire will be there for us, and will continue to support local business and local art.
