Helping Tana Overcome Cancer

Donation protected
*UPDATE!! We are now raising $$ for Tana to get started on her post-op radiation treatment. She has found a radiation oncologist in private practice that is willing to do it at a reduced price but it’s imperative for her to get started ASAP and make the weekly payments. Thank you so much for your help getting her through the initial surgery. Every dollar COUNTS!

On Friday Aug.  24th, 2018,  Tana received the devastating news that she has malignant endometrial adenocarcinoma- a form of uterine cancer. The initial biopsy has indicated that the grade of the tumor is a “high grade” cancer, meaning it is aggressive, so an immediate full hysterectomy, including the removal of her uterus and surrounding reproductive organs- cervix, Fallopian tubes and ovaries is the front line treatment. In addition to this she will have to undergo a procedure called lymphadectomy, which is a risky but important procedure used to see if the cancer has spread and then to “stage” the cancer in her body.
After surgery she will need many scans, blood marker testing, and ongoing monitoring to ensure her best quality of care and life. We will also find out a post surgical treatment plan that may involve chemo and radiation so we ask for your PRAYERS for God’s great mercy, deliverance and healing!

At 45 years old, a mom of two young men, and a  life long fitness and health professional, it just goes to show how cancer has no prejudice and can come knocking unexpectedly at your door, It will often defy risk factors, age and all statistics. Fortunately, Tana and her family have put their faith in the Lord—the Great Physician and divine HEALER. They are believing for her recovery as her family, especially her boys need their mom!

The biggest challenge in moment is the reality that she and her husband, like so many Americans, have recently fallen on hard financial times and caught without medical insurance while attempting to make ends meet. This is why we are calling on the help of friends, family and kind hearted strangers for compassion and support.
Tana will not be able to work for a few months and will need to put her focus on healing. There is nothing worse than being bombarded with ongoing financial stress on top of trying to cope and recover from a life altering health diagnosis like cancer. Even with good insurance, most people will find themselves overwhelmed by the mounting medical bills they will still need to pay. For many, they will be denied access to much needed treatment.

We are humbly calling upon all of our friends, families and networks to give Tana the chance for the quality care she meds. ANY contribution big or small is a blessing right now. Even if it’s just $10! God uses the smallest acts of kindness in life to bless us and others in a big way! I also know Tana has been a great inspiration and vessel of godly ministry to so many over the years. I’d love to see that same kind of love and kindness bless her broken heart right now when she needs it most.
All the funds raised will go directly towards the costs of her medical bills with regular updates made by Tana who is being very transparent with her journey.  She says,

“Thank you for each and every prayer and penny. Every little bit helps and counts as a tremendous blessing to us.  I know these fundraisers are often abused and people will make assumptions about another person’s genuine need. However, I can only say I would never publicly ask for help if I didn’t truly need it. If I’ve ever prayed for the  Lord’s provision, even through others in my life, it’s NOW. I do pray He would take this burden and heal my body. But more than anything, this would somehow be used to turn hearts towards Him. I hope to come through this with more strength, love and wisdom than I ever imagined and will look for opportunities to educate and support others once I’m finally recovered, strengthened, and healed. Thank you Jesus!
I’m so touched by those who have already stepped up to help and love on me in my darkest hour. God bless you all.”  ~ Tana
