Talia Schaffart (Staskiewicz) Fund
Donation protected
On Monday December 5th the van my nieces were traveling to school in was struck by another driver at 103rd and Blair High Road. My nieces Brookelyn (age 9), Talia (age 7) and Kalaila (age 4) were in the van.
Fortunately, Kalaila was not severely injured and was treated at the scene.
Brookelyn was taken by ambulance in critical condition, with potential neck and chest injuries. She was released last night with a concussion and bruising to her lungs.
Talia took the brunt of the accident as she was seated where the other drivers S.U.V. made contact with the van. Talia is still in critial condtion with severe brain injuries. She will remain in the PICU until her condition improves and she can be moved to the pediatrics unit. After that she will have a very long road to recovery at a rehabilitation center.
Talia is an extremely happy and outgoing child. She loves everybody and is the most giving person I have ever known; she will do anything to make others happy. Talia also carries the biggest and most loving heart.
Talia enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She loves fishing, camping, moral mushroom hunting, riding bikes, swimming, skateboarding and learning any sport or activity she can.
Talia is extremely smart and excels well in school. She loves learning new things, including spelling words. Talia has recently switched over to reading chapter books and her favorite are Diary of a Whimpy Kid.
Your generosity and consideration of donation will go towards Talia's hospital bills and the long road for rehabilitation that she faces. Talia's family will use donations towards bills as her family has not and will not leave her side.
Any extra funds rasied will be donated to an organization of Talia's Choice.
