Taking My Book to the Next Level
One of my greatest joys is to allow people to escape into another world, one that allows their minds to wander to new realms and ideas. My name is Joseph and thank you for taking the time to read my plea for help. Writing for me has always brought great satisfaction - to share my stories with others is the highlight of my life. As a young boy I wrote my first story in 3rd grade and kept on writing through school, college, and adulthood.
"The Sword" was my first novel that I completed several years ago. I launched it on Amazon and it gained some success, bringing in modest sales. Just last year I wrote my second novel, Threshold. I am starting to build up a small fan base of readers from the combined efforts of my first 2 novels. However, my goal is to publish great works and focus on writing full time. In order for me to bring to the masses truly great pieces of work, I need to hire a professional editor. A professional editor will polish and fine tune my works from a rough draft to a complete and refined masterpiece. Since I am an amateur writer just getting started in the industry I have not garnered enough in sales to acquire an editor. A professional editor can cost up to $4,000 per novel for copy/content edits. As my career as a writer is gaining momentum I am limited by my earnings on what I can and cannot release. Ideally, I would love to release 1 novel per year, build my following while gaining further notoriety, and become a full time dedicated writer.
I can see the path to success, it is right in front of me and easily attainable. I am just having a difficult time getting from point A to point B.
