Take Phelan to the BSP

On July 15, 2013 my best friend was born. Phelan came to our house when Denis and I needed him the most. Phelan brought joy into our lives when we were still reeling from a catastrophic loss. As if he knew, he never let us dwell.

Phelan has never been sad a day in his life, no matter the circumstances he's enjoying life and whatever we can offer him.

I needed a companion but what I got out of Phelan was so much more. Phelan and I started our IPO journey at 8 weeks old and never looked back.  He is a true handler, owner, trainer dog and what I have learned has shaped my entire training program. We have made many mistakes and never intend to stop learning. His resilience is inspiring and helps me help others as we grow.

After many steps in our short career we're ready for the big one, we're excited to fly across the country and ocean to try our skills at the big show. Phelan and I have been invited to compete at the BSP in Germany. The competition is in April and is a direct follow up to our championship win at DVG America where not only did the "little guy" handled by the new girl demand a 97V score in protection but the Oregonian, who'd never seen "moondust" before that trip, came away from tracking with a 99 to seal his victory.
