Sept 11th TBTD Children In The Playground Musical

Hello, my name is Benjamin D. Smith and I am the Chairman of the Take Back The Day festival. Take Back The Day (TBTD) is a nationwide movement that changes the dialogue from terror to triumph as we remember and pay homage to the lives that were lost on September 11th 2001. This year marks the 21st anniversary of the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Flight 93 tragedies and we wanted to change the day from being somber to a day of community activism and activities utilizing the arts. With that said, we asked people to perform random acts of kindness, engage in community service projects and showcase uplifting performing and visual works of art in their communities on 9/11.  In addition to the community events, we produced the first annual Take Back The Day Performing & Visual Arts Festival in New York City. 

This year in 2022, Take Back The Day Committee Presents "Children In The Playground" The Musical, Live!!! We are looking to mount and produce this amazing musical in New York City September 9th, 10th and 11th. This year we created an amazing Zoom reading with our new cast, however, this summer we will top it with 6 dance numbers, electrifying sets and star-stunning costumes. All accompanied by a live band. 

We are asking for your help to raise all the funds necessary to offset the expenses of this glorious and much needed event and sow seeds for Take Back The Day 2022. All funds raised will be used to cover the past expenses of putting TBTD together as well as to honor our 2022 scholarship awardees to further their education.

With you we can Take Back The Day and bring the revival of " Children In The Playground" to higher heights.  Let's show the world that our resilience is not just in words, but also in actions.
