Shawn's Medical Fund

In 2009, Shawn Lawson was attacked by a virus that left his heart in a weakened state.  Since then, he has persevered through many hospitaliazations and treatments.  A few days before Thanksgiving he was admitted to the hospital with horrible pain.  They found out his organs were all failing due to his conjestive heart failure.  His condition became so severe he was air lifted to University Hospital and is waiting for a heart transplant to save his life.

Shawn is a loving husband and father of three wonderful kids.  His wife Jody and kids Devin, Kyuss and Joslynn want nothing more than their dad to come home healthy.  They worked hard to buy their first home last year and are in danger of losing it because they don't have Shawn's income anymore.  One month ago Shawn made the agonizing decision to go on disability and is months away from receiving benefits.  Shawn's wife Jody works nights as a caregiver for the elderly and has taken another part time job during the day.  Sadly Jody can't make ends meet and the medical bills are piling up.

After a heart transplant, Shawn will need 24 hour care at home for 3 months.  This job will go to his wife Jody who will have to take leave from her job at that time.  They have a long road ahead of them. 

Any donations will go towards helping Shawn's family stay in their home, and towards his astronomical medical bills.
