Hi Y’all my name is Malcolm (He/Him). I’m nearly 22 years old. I identify as nonbinary/trans masculine. I came out as transgender when I was 18. I’ve been in hormone replacement therapy for 5 months.
Ever since puberty I have felt detached from my chest. It always felt like it didn’t belong to my body. I have been binding my chest for 4 years and it’s beginning to impact my ribs and my ability to breathe. At this point, double incision top surgery is a something I need in order to move forward. I’m coming up on my college graduation. I’m about to step into the ‘real world’. I need to be able to live as my most authentic self. For me, top surgery is the next step in my transition towards that goal.
