Life changing Surgery

LIFE CHANGING SURGERY FOR REMOVAL OF TVT-O MESH IMPLANT                                               My name is Evagail Dagleish Firstly I would like to thank you for taking  the time out your day , to stop by and read my story . I have always been a very hardworking , proud & family orientated , private person . I would never ask for help or take anything from anyone. It has taken a lot of deep thought & deliberation for me to turn to social media to post this go fund me appeal. My story started way back in Dec 2005 I had a full hysterectomy & in the same surgery a TVT-Obturator Polypropelene MESH implant fitted. During surgery my left ureter was compromised , damaged , the trauma of it being stitched , led to it becoming detached . This progressed on to a fistula forming . I had to have a urostomy performed till reconstructive surgery in Jan 2006 for the reimplantation of ureter. I suffered constant recurring infections , pylonephritis, kidney stones , inflammation & scarring of kidney followed by reflux & first episode of uro SEPSIS the function of my left kidney became impaired .  Then all the symptoms of Polypropelene MESH developed such debilitating chronic back & pelvic pain , eroding ,cutting through skin into other organs , the nerve pain down my outer thigh causes numbness , so sometimes my leg goes away from me . I have to use a walking stick now for stability as I have compromised mobility . I am on so much medication now & also have 2 auto immune conditions triggered by MESH it's just the toxic gift that keeps on giving and should NEVER have been placed in any HUMAN BODY. It's a revolving circle the inflammation & infection from the MESH is impairing the performance of my left kidney & nothing is going to change until this Barbaric Implant is removed entirely. I feel as if I am sitting on a ticking time bomb , 2nd episode of uro SEPSIS in July this year. This totally overwhelms me at times , I have lost so much , I had to take early retirement due to ill health from a job I dearly loved and miss , nursing assistant ironically within the NHS , my ability to work & earn a wage , social life , enjoyable time free from pain with my family & especially quality fun time with my precious grandchildren & husband , all gone to chronic pain. Unfortunately there are no surgeons in Scotland with the expertise or experience to perform a FULL TVT-O MESH IMPLANT REMOVAL in one surgery. So whether NHS Scotland cannot or wont give me an extra contractual  referral to another health board , I am left with no choice but to get help for myself. I did a lot of research and have now attended a first consultation with an excellent urologist down in Bristol , I trust this surgeon and have every faith for a safe , full removal with the least risk of further complications & nerve damage & have high Hope's for a good outcome.  A few friends & family suggested starting a fundraising page , so after a whole lot of soul searching , I thought I would take a leap of faith as time is of the essence to appeal to the kind nature of everyone , to help in anyway possible . Whether that be SHARING my link ,  Helping to raise awareness of polypropylene MESH damaged Women & Men  Any words of support and of course by DONATION of whatever you can to help towards my goal of £11000 , I hope to raise enough to fund my surgery in March 2020 , will update when I have final date through from surgeon.
