Help me go to Argentina!

First, let me introduce myself. Hi, my name is Sadie McGowan. When I was born, I was blessed with the gift of having a nanny from Mexico that spoke only Spanish. Her name is Lidia and she means the world to me. I consider her my Grandmother and can’t imagine my life without her. My parents both worked full time and needed someone to watch me. My little sister and I were both raised speaking Spanish and that has helped me in so many ways. Living in Chicago, I have experienced so many different cultures in just my school alone. Since there is a lot of Spanish speaking people at my school, there was an option for me to take a Spanish class made for people who were raised speaking Spanish at home. I tool the placement test and luckily got into the class. Through the native Spanish class, I have been given the once in a lifetime opportunity to go on an exchange trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. When Flor came to my school from Buenos Aires, we immediately bonded. We had so many things in common and even had the exact same birthday! I would love to see her again this spring when my school has the privelage of visiting Argentina. The cost for the trip is $3500 and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to raise enough money for this amazing opportunity. Since my parents are now divorced, it makes it more challenging to raise the money for this trip, but hopefully not impossible. When I’m older, my dream is to become a Spanish teacher and help more people speak Spanish. Hopefully, this trip will give me lasting experiences and more exposure to the Argentinian culture. I greatly appreciate anything you are able to donate. Thanks for taking the time to read about my story.
