Medicine for Faith

 

On October 6th sweet Faith Healy was suffering from severe abdominal pain and her mother took her to the ER where she was admitted. Melissa has spend much of her days and nights at the hospital with Faith, while Justin has been holding down the fort back at home...switching here and there so the others can see their momma too!  After having to have multiple drains put in (and taken out) to drain multiple abscesses, she is finally on the road to going home! (until having to go back to have her appendix removed at a later date. Once she is home she will have to be on medication for 2 weeks costing roughly $1600, AFTER insurance!  Everyone that knows the Healy family knows what wonderful people they are, Melissa would never be one to ask for help, but now's our chance to help them out!

Here is Faith's story in her mother's words:
I took her to the dr on Friday the 2nd with fever and some stomach pain when she peed. Her stomach pain went away the next day but continued having a fever over the weekend. I brought her to the hospital Tuesday the 6th with her crying holding her stomach. It hurt so bad she couldn't even walk. We got here they did a CT scan and found her appendix had already ruptured and she had an abscess. Started her on iv antibiotics and put 2 drains in. Did a CT scan later and found out she had 6 abscesses. So they did another surgery to suction it all out and found more than they thought. Got it all out and put in 2 JP drains. That brings us to today when she got one out. I think that sums it all up.
She will go home with her picc line and continue IV antibiotics for 2 weeks and in about 5 weeks come back to get her appendix removed.
Oh she is also on nutrients because her nutrient level was super low.
