Burma/Thai Deathmarch Anzac Day 18

Antony (Tony) Zahra is walking (where accessible) the Burma/Thai Railway Line constructed by the Australian/Allies POW's under Japanese Rule in WW2. His walk will take 22 days with a distance of about 300 Kilometers through undulating terrain through steamy jungle, from the three Pagodas on the Burma/Thai Border through Hell Fire Pass over the Bridge Over The River Kwai, through Kanchanaburi the another 40 Km to Nong Pladuk, railway station where some of the POW disembarked from the Troop train from Singapore.

At 10.45am of Wednesday the 25th of April, 2018 Tony and his 4 man walking support crew will arrive
at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery for the 11am Service with very high Dignitaries, including the Chief
Of the Army Angus Campbell.  

This Epic walk is raising awareness of PTSD, anxiety, depression and make the community aware of what our POW's went through during World War 2.
