Sylvie's Story

               Sylvie Lecomte 20th October 1966 – 3rd August 2018


Sylvie worked for Waltham Forest for nineteen years. She was a very kind, caring and genuine person who was extremely passionate about her work and always went the extra mile for her families. Sylvie was also involved in lots of work for her local community.

Sadly, Sylvie passed away on Friday very suddenly to cancer. It has been a tremendous shock to all her friends, colleagues and of course, her family. Sylvie was an only child and leaves behind a 28 year old disabled son, her  husband, who is in work but on a low income due to his long term health issues, and her 80 year old father who lives in France. It has become clear in recent days that the family are in need of financial assistance and therefore we want to start this fund to support Sylvie’s family with the funeral costs and the cost of flying her ashes over to France. We also hope to provide a little financial security for her family in this extremely difficult time so that it will be one less thing for them to worry about and allow them to grieve in peace.
