Sylvia Stone Cancer Fund

Sylvia is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln CoJMC's Advertising and Public Relations program, a new Omaha resident, recent bride to Colton, a proud mom of two rescue cats, Pumpkin and Pickle, and a lover of all things creative.

Last week, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Stage 3 breast cancer is intense. It’s unexpected when you’re under 40, and under 7% of cases happen to those in their 20s & 30s.

Unfortunately, cancer treatment and recovery is incredibly expensive. It's going to be a long road, but what we know so far is she will start chemo in the coming weeks. After that, she will have surgery to remove the tumor, radiation and most likely reconstructive surgery.

With such a bright future ahead of her, the last thing she needs to be worrying about is paying for this unexpected turn in life. While we make sure she has a caring support group to get through this, we are also hoping to raise money to help cover her medical expenses.

Sylvia is the strongest, most lovely human and we want to make sure she is as stress-free as possible during this time, so she can focus on her recovery. We appreciate anything anyone can offer. (She hates asking people for money so we made her do this).
