Hi my name is Sylvia and I am fundraising to be able to buy a powerful sewing and embroidery machine

This past year has been a year from hell, I lost my cousin in a boating accident, my husband passed away in April at only 60 years old and while taking care of him I was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer in my lungs, bones and liver.

Even during this time I have continued to give. Last Christmas, when not in the hospital I organized Christmas baskets, stockings, gifts and gift cards for four families. I have made chemo caps for free for other cancer patients and most recently 150 sanitary pads to send to Africa. This year I am in the process of organizing Christmas for one family. Sewing has been my sanity and what keeps me positive every day. Unfortunately, I have had a series of breakdowns in my machines and find myself at the point where I need to get something stronger. I don’t make money off my sewing projects, I use the funds to cover costs plus a little bit as I live off my disability.

I am really hoping to get community support to buy a new machine so I continue to sew, thrive and give back to the community. The machine I need is 3500$ plus tax and shipping.
