Winter Swim for Greystones Cancer Support

Hi everyone,

My goal is to be in the the sea every day from 1st October to the 31st March to raise funds for Greystones Cancer Support. This a wonderful caring organisation which is very close to my heart.

I aim to swim every day if safe to do so, this year I swam up to the 22nd January, I had to stop due my right hip being replaced but thankfully I was back in the sea on the 4th April. I believe the months of February and March are very cold but with the incentive of raising funds for this worthy charity it will give me an extra reason to achieve my goal.

Greystones Cancer Support (GCS) is a long established voluntary, self-funded, community- based organisation. The main focus of GCS is to provide guidance, encouragement, and emotional support on a confidential basis to people affected by cancer and their families.

Their main objective is to care for their members, providing transport to medical appointments, Counselling, Complementary Therapies etc. See link to their website for more details of the services that they provide https://www.greystonescancersupport.com.
