Sweet Joey: help with vet bills

Anyone who has ever met our sweet Aussie, Joey, immediately falls in love with him. He has been by my husband Logan's side for 15 years and has always been spry and happy. He surprises people when we tell them his age -- even his vet!

On Saturday Dec. 16 Joey suffered a grand mal seizure. We spent the night by his side on the floor, but he never recovered. He wasn't able to do much more than raise his head off the floor for a few moments. So, we brought him in to VMSG, the vet emergency hospital in Ventura.
He's now been here about 24 hours and has gone through many tests and procedures, including a blood transfusion on Sunday night. It seemed to really help him; he was able to keep his head up and he even stood up for the nurses. So we finally went home to get some sleep.
But then this morning we got a call that his condition was suddenly getting worse again.
We now face upward of $4,000 in vet bills, and some tough decisions.
