Sweat for Ami: Build Mia's Education Fund

We celebrate Ami and all the light and love she brought to Bay Athletic Club, and our entire community. She gave her time and talent to her family, faith, fitness and food.
Ami was a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a talented fitness instructor, a chef, a volunteer, a friend, and a beautiful human being.
She just celebrated her 10 year anniversary at Bay Athletic Club, and was awarded a trophy for her loyalty and service. She was grateful and always showed it. Her contributions to our fitness community are many.
She started her fitness career more than a decade ago with a TurboKick certification, and quickly fell in love with teaching. She earned her personal trainer certification and went on to teach many other formats, with Step and Pound as her favorites.
She truly loved the idea of fitness being a party. She was happy to be the host. Her Pound parties were electric -- from Alpena to Rogers City, from school gyms to Bay Urban to BAC to the great outdoors, she taught everywhere and anywhere.
Fitness helped Ami find a passion for being strong and healthy. She told us once at BAC that she found inner strength that she never knew she had, and was on a mission to help others find that same power within them.
She succeeded. Ami's classes were full of people, energy, music, sweat and smiles. She gave her heart to all she did.
People left her classes with the biggest smiles, and a skip in their step. And we will all leave here better having known her.
Please join us for a fitness party that Ami would approve of on Friday, February 26th at 5:30 pm inside Bay Athletic Club. We called it Sweat for Ami and our goal is to raise money for an education fund for Ami's daughter, Mia. Join us live or via Zoom on Friday night and donate what you can here.
To Ami's family - Mike, Mia, Diane, Angie, Brad, and many more, we send our love. But even more, we send our THANKS to you for sharing Ami with us. We truly treasured her.
