Swaziland.
World Challenge is an organisation which allows young people to take part in volunteering overseas. They provide these experiences to schools and other students around the world.
I have been fortunate enough to be selected to travel to Swaziland in June of 2021. I am excited about taking part in many different activities including volunteering in local villages, learning about their culture and helping them build new facilities. Whilst there I will also be challenging myself with an expedition around Swaziland itself.
I believe that the experience will improve my confidence and teamworking skills, as we are required to work together as a group to plan and organise our accommodation and food throughout the trip.

Unfortunately, our family suffered a recent shock when my dad had a heart attack just before Christmas. Due to the excellent care and specialists at the hospital, he is now on the road to recovery.
Although his health is still improving, he has told me he will join me and support me in taking part in a sponsored cycle later this year ( Poppy Scotland East Lothian, around 50 miles)
With this in mind, I pledge to donate 20% of any money raised as part of this page to help the research carried out by the British Heart Foundation. If I reach my target any excess money will also be given to the Foundation.
I will also be carrying out other local fundraising activities to raise the necessary funding for my trip and would like to thank anyone that donates to my 'go fund me' page. It will be greatly appreciated, as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity!
