Swags for the Homeless this Winter

This is an urgent call for your help this winter.

Homelessness Australia estimates that there are currently 105,237 people in Australia who are homeless - and over 6500 of these individuals are sleeping rough this winter (in improvised dwellings or outside).

Most of us find it tough enough getting warm in our heated homes, underneath several blankets - I'm asking each of you to please take a moment to imagine what it would be like to spend even a single night on the streets during this time of year.

OUR GOAL

With your help we are hoping to raise much needed funds to purchase as many waterproof sleeping swags as possible. These will help some of the most vulnerable members of our community make it through the winter.

The swags are priced between $95.00 - $154.00 each, but they offer invaluable warmth and shelter to those who have no choice but to sleep rough.



Your kind donation - no matter how small - can make a huge difference in the life of someone who desperately needs a break. Every single dollar counts.

We are liaising with several not for profit organisations servicing the homeless in Sydney to co-ordinate distribution.

Please don't turn a blind eye to those who are doing it tough this winter. They need our help now.
