Suzette's Expense Fund

On Friday, June 2nd, while on her way to work, my dear friend, Marie-Suzette Carpenter, was critically injured in a motor vehicle accident. While at a complete stop, she was rear-ended by an SUV and pushed into oncoming traffic and hit head-on by another large truck. She has been hospitalized at John C Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix and has undergone seven surgeries and will need to spend some time in a rehab center following her release. This horrific accident has been life altering for Suzette and she has a long road ahead of her. Prior to the accident, Suzette had just begun a new position as Optical Operations Manager with Paradise Valley Eye Care. She was thrilled with the new opportunity, but tragically, had not been there quite long enough to be eligible for the company medical insurance. To add to this, the policy limits of the at-fault driver have far been exceeded by staggering hospital bills. Because of all of the uncertainty of Suzette's future medical needs and the dire financial result of all of this, her sisters have had to move Suzette's belongings into storage and give up her apartment. She is fighting the battle of her life.  Those of you who know Suzette have all been touched in someway by her goodness. Or maybe it was her infectious laughter or quirky sense of humor. Or her zest for life and her love for all creatures, great and small. Her love of nature and the beauty of the mountains. It could have been her dazzling dance moves! Whatever it was that touched you, I think we can all agree that she is the kindest and most generous soul! Let's band together and help Suzette on her road to recovery. Please, no matter how big or how small, or even a prayer to help her on her difficult journey, let's put a dent in this!
