Sushi Confidential and Frost Cupcake Factory Partner to Feed Healthcare Heroes.

Here’s The Problem:
The coronavirus has greatly impacted almost all areas of our economy and society. Some of the hardest hit communities are the frontline healthcare workers, restaurant workers, and restaurant operators. First-responders and healthcare workers are risking their own lives daily to care for all of us, requiring them to work in dangerous and stressful conditions.

Here’s How We’re Tackling It:
Seeking solutions to this crisis, Sushi Confidential, a local award-winning American Style Sushi restaurant located in Campbell and San Jose, California, started a movement among local businesses called COVID-19 Business Unity (#covid19bizunity). The vision of this program is to encourage local businesses to partner with one another to help each other survive during the COVID-19 crisis and thrive after it is over. 

Randy Musterer (AKA - Sushi Randy), owner of Sushi Confidential, first partnered with other local restaurants, breweries, and bakeries, such as award-winning Frost Cupcake Factory, owned by Andrea Buswell, winner of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars in 2013, and others, to jointly provide each other’s products to their loyal customers. Now, Randy and Andrea are rallying the community to use this same model to support acute areas of need starting with frontline health care workers and first responders. By providing this support, Randy and Andrea are also helping theirs and other businesses to re-employ recently laid off workers.

Randy and Andrea were recently featured in the local news which is leading to new awareness of the BizUnity movement and has encouraged them to launch broader and more impactful programs. The first program, called Feeding Healthcare Heroes, extends their BizUnity approach to provide delicious meals for free to frontline Health Care workers and first responders fighting the coronavirus head on: nurses, doctors, staff at local hospitals, EMTs, firefighters, and law enforcement officers. 

The Feeding Healthcare Heroes movement is already garnering the support of banks, city managers, and sports personalities who are looking for ways to support and help.

How The Program Works:
The Feeding Healthcare Heroes™ program is simple:

For each $25 dollars donated to Feeding Healthcare Heroes Go-Fund-Me, a free delicious meal will be provided by Sushi Confidential and a smile rendering dessert provided by Frost Cupcake Factory, to frontline healthcare workers and first responders who are helping to manage and secure testing centers or are working in hospitals and caring for COVID-19 patients. 

If you know someone who is a nurse or doctor or firefighter or police officer, or a team of same, etc. working on the frontlines, you can nominate them or their teams to receive these free meals. If you are a frontline worker, you can directly contact Feeding Healthcare Heroes via Sushi Confidential, to order free meals and desserts for your team.

100% of your donations will immediately go towards feeding our frontline workers with sushi, Japanese cuisine meals, cupcakes/cookies and other foods as a small token of our community’s appreciation. Our frontline workers need nutritious foods and energy to be able to work around the clock, under very stressful conditions, to care for the influx of sick patients needing their expertise- they more than deserve the joy a decadent cupcake or cookie can offer.
